New York Zine features Wicked Mike’s Protest

Politics, economics and rock ‘n roll. No, I don’t speak about Bono. I speak of myself whom everyone calls Wicked Mike. I’m a music agent, journalist and CD compiler in sub-tropical Durban on the eastern shores of South Africa. Recently I staged a protest, placing myself under room arrest and eating minimal food, then nothing, for a period of 17 days. I was looking to shine a spotlight on the dire predicament that is the South African music “industry”. I also had a hidden agenda.
